Terms of use
Last updated:
These terms apply to the Yeonseup app (iPhone, Android and web) and the yeonseup.com website, provided by [TODO: legal entity name], [TODO: postal address], France (“Yeonseup”, “we”). By creating an account, you accept these terms.
[TODO: legal review before launch.]
Your health comes first
Yeonseup gives general fitness programs. It is not medical advice and does not replace a doctor, physiotherapist or coach.
- Check with a doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a medical condition, an injury, are pregnant, or haven’t exercised in a long time.
- The fitness test asks for maximum effort. Only take it if you are able to.
- Stop exercising if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath, and seek medical help if it continues.
You are responsible for exercising within your limits.
Your account
You need an account to use the app. You must be at least 16 and give accurate information. When you create your account, you also agree, separately, to the processing of your health and fitness data, as described in the privacy policy.
Keep your password private: you are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at support@yeonseup.com if you think someone else has accessed it.
Free and Premium
The free version includes the fitness test, free programs, the calendar, reminders, guided sessions, statistics and the feed. Premium adds every program in the library, the program builder and the AI coach.
- Buying. Premium is a monthly or annual subscription bought in the App Store or Google Play. The price is shown in the store before you buy.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Cancelling. Cancel in your App Store or Google Play account settings. You keep Premium until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting your Yeonseup account does not cancel your subscription.
- Refunds. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their rules.
- On other devices. Premium works on every device where you sign in to the same Yeonseup account.
If your subscription ends, your current programs keep running and you can still edit the programs you created. You can’t start paid programs, create new programs or use the AI coach until you subscribe again.
The AI coach
Premium includes an AI coach that creates a program from your answers and changes it when you ask. AI can make mistakes: read a generated program before following it, adjust anything that doesn’t suit you in the builder, and remember the health advice above, which applies to AI programs too. A program from the AI is yours once you save it.
The AI coach has weekly limits, shown in the app: currently 10 new programs and 20 changes per 7 days. A request that fails doesn’t count; a request you stop does. We may pause the AI coach temporarily if its costs exceed what we planned for a day.
The community feed and its rules
The feed lets members share posts and photos, which every member can see. Be kind and stay on topic. You must not post:
- hateful, harassing, threatening or discriminatory content;
- violent, sexual or shocking content, or anything involving minors;
- content that is illegal, or that you don’t have the right to share (other people’s photos, copyrighted material);
- personal information about other people;
- spam, advertising or links to scams;
- medical claims or dangerous advice.
You can report any post from its menu. We review reports and remove content that breaks these rules, usually within 24 hours. We may suspend or close the account of a member who breaks them, without notice for serious cases. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive members.
Your content
Programs and posts you create remain yours. You allow us to store them and, for posts, to show them to Yeonseup members, for as long as they stay on the service. You can delete your posts at any time. Don’t put anything in names, descriptions, notes or posts that breaks the rules above.
Our content
The programs, exercises, texts, illustrations and the app itself belong to Yeonseup or its licensors. You may use them for your own training. You may not copy, resell or redistribute them.
Acceptable use
Don’t try to access other people’s accounts, get around Premium or the AI limits, overload or attack the service, or collect its content automatically.
Changes and availability
We improve Yeonseup over time and may change or remove features. We try to keep the service available but can’t guarantee it will always be. We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app before it applies, and ask for your agreement again.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app (how to delete your account). We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after telling you why unless the law prevents it.
Liability
We provide Yeonseup with care, but within the limits allowed by law we are not liable for indirect damage, or for injuries that result from not following the safety advice above. Nothing in these terms limits your rights as a consumer under the law of the country where you live.
App Store and Google Play
If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, and Apple has no obligation to provide support for the app. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms of service also apply. If they conflict with these terms on how you may use the app, these terms prevail, except where the store’s rules must apply.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by French law. If there is a dispute, contact us first at support@yeonseup.com. Consumers in the EU can also use the free mediation service [TODO: name and website of the consumer mediator], and can bring a claim before the courts of their place of residence. Consumers in Korea keep the protections of Korean consumer law and can bring a claim before the Korean courts.
